Alumni Picnic on the Plaza tailgate
When: 3:30-6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13
Where: VCU Commons Plaza, 907 Floyd Ave., Richmond, VA 23284
Rain location: Inside Student Commons.
We’ll host the picnic, you bring your friends and fellow alumni. There will be a live DJ, beer, wine, sweet treats from alumni-owned businesses, food, swag, performances and more. Then join us in The Stu to watch the Rams take on the Wagner College Seahawks.
Looking for tickets to the basketball game? Good news! Discounted tickets for alumni can be purchased through VCU Athletics for the women’s basketball game Friday, Nov. 12 and the men’s basketball game Saturday, Nov. 13.

Picnic on the Plaza tailgate ticket
For the Alumni Picnic on the Plaza tailgate before the men’s basketball game. Family friendly, all ages welcome. Includes: meal, snacks, desserts, swag and entertainment. Main meal: chili (vegan options available), plus sides and one free ticket for beer or wine. Additional alcoholic beverages available for cash purchase only.
Cost: $15
Graduates from the classes of 2020 and 2021 only
We know the pandemic caused you to miss out on many campus celebrations. Let VCU Alumni welcome you back to campus! Tell us you are coming and we’ll save you a drink ticket and swag. Additional alcoholic beverages will be available for cash purchase only.
Cost: Free for 2020 and 2021 graduates
Parking: Self-pay parking is available in the West Broad Street Parking Deck (the most convenient choice if you’re going to the game) or in the Cary Street Parking Deck (closer to the plaza). Street parking is available and follows posted City of Richmond regulations and rates.
