The thin veneer of higher education hides a macabre history that has left us with tales of ghastly hauntings and shocking murders. Join VCU Alumni for a virtual or walking tour featuring creepy tales of Richmond, from the time before Virginia’s largest university called the Monroe Park Campus home.

After the in-person tour Thursday, Oct. 26, join Bernard K. Means, Ph.D., assistant professor of anthropology and director of the Virtual Curation Laboratory for “a pint with a professor” at the Village Cafe. He will discuss his cemetery research and reconstructing the Connecticut Vampire. Tour attendance includes one drink ticket.

Can’t make it to the tour? Join us at the Village at 8 p.m.
